I create timeless imagery that tells your story with heart.
Born and raised in Cape Breton, I didn’t fully realize the beauty of this little island until I spent time away from it. There’s something about the salt air, the ocean always nearby, and those quiet drives along the coast that make this place feel like home in the deepest way. Now that I’m back, I’m raising my family here and doing the work I feel called to do.
I first picked up a camera in 2009 when photography was just a hobby, something I loved but never imagined turning into a career. In 2017, I took a leap of faith and officially opened my business.
I’ve been married to my best friend for over 13 years, and we have two amazing kids and a couple of fur babies who keep life full and fun. They’re the reason I first started documenting the little things. I wanted to remember the everyday moments, the soft glances, the laughter, the way time moves so quickly when you're not paying attention. That’s what led me here.
Photography began as a way to capture my own family’s love and now it’s become one of the greatest honors of my life to do the same for others. Whether it’s your wedding day or a quiet moment at home with your newborn, I’m here to capture what matters most.
You believe your story matters, just as it is, and you want to preserve it with heart, intention, and meaning.
You’re not looking for stiff poses or perfect photos, but for images that reflect your love honestly and remind you how it all felt.
You find beauty in the quiet things—like the way your partner reaches for your hand or the way your parents smile at you from across the room.
You care more about how your day feels than how it looks, and you want to soak in every moment without rushing through it.
Clear umbrellas. Because Cape Breton weather loves to keep us guessing!
What’s something you always bring to weddings (besides your camera)?
Watching my kids laugh in the backyard, photographing quiet in-between moments, and slow drives along the Cape Breton coast.
What makes my heart happy?
Your love story could be next—ready?
The little moments are never little
It’s the soft glances, the held hands, the in-between pauses that say the most—and those are the memories worth holding onto.
It didn’t just happen overnight. It started with a leap of faith, a love for storytelling, and a quiet dream to turn passion into purpose. Through the years, I’ve learned a lot about people, love, and what truly matters. Here are four things that have shaped how I see this work and the stories I’m honored to tell.
Through the years...
People want to feel seen, not just photographed
The best photos come when people feel safe, known, and comfortable being fully themselves.
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be
Being a resource to my couples matters just as much as the images I deliver.
Photos become more valuable with time
What feels ordinary now will one day be the thing you never want to forget.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Candace. We were one of the "lucky" ones who had to postpone their covid wedding multiple times. Candace supported us through the entire journey and really took the pressure off us worrying about our big day. Living away and trying to plan your wedding 3 or 4 times was extra stressful. Candace is organized, creative, and so easy to work with! She worked so well with our wedding planner and venue coordinator. From the beginning, when we did our engagement photos, Candace showcased her talents because she actually got my husband to smile and pose in the photos! Trust me, that is NOT as easy thing to do. Candace is genuinely such a sweet, and kind person. We cannot wait to book family photos when we visit home next. If you have ANY type of need for a photographer, she is absolutely your girl!
